A large International Consultancy and Construction service provider is looking to recruit a Commercial Business Manager.

Job Description
As a Commercial and Finance Manager for a prestigeous government Account you will support the Business Director in the development and resolution of commercial claims for the account.

Requirements
To support the Account Director in the development of commercial solutions for the account;
Analyse contracts for risks and opportunities, develop risk management strategies and prepare internal commercial reports;
Support negotiations of terms and conditions of contract with client and major subcontract partners;
Support the modelling of payment mechanism and liabilities;
Close liaison with group legal, group insurance manager, estimating and procurement on all subcontracts to ensure all commercial issues are covered off in the bid;
Drafting and negotiating to resolution commercial claims.
Strong financial knowledge of balance sheets and cash flows
Excellent financial analytical skills
Strong excel and financial systems (e.g. SAP) Ability to interrogate processes and propose solutions and improvements
Ability to interact closely with non finance individuals
Experience of managing and developing a commercial and finance team
Recognised professional commercial qualification


Responsibilities
Co-ordinate and control preparation of month end results/operational budgets and forecasts/cash flows
Responsible for managing the month end reporting processes, delivering on time with detailed commentary and analysis
Ensure integrity of SAP and value/cost reported Analyse labour efficiency/utilisation reports highlighting issues and potential actions
Work closely with business unit management and contracts
Proactively manage and develop finance team
Ensure that all accounting activities are in compliance with company, legal and regulatory procedures
Work with finance/business teams to further develop SAP ledger based reporting
Review/maintain up to date cash flow forecasts by bank account
Prepare year end audit files, highlight and manage audit risks Undertake other ad hoc projects as and when required
